How to Change Your Bedroom Into a Peaceful Area for you

1Get some furniture that gives off peaceful vibes. For example, one great idea is a beanbag in the corner. Plants are very pleasing to the eye, maybe because it's in our genes to like the color green-after all, in Neolithic times, it was almost always a source of food! Find some good posters of nature or peace and such, and put them up on the walls. Put up some poster frames or something of strange objects. Perhaps get a really large one and put a loved but too small T-shirt in it or something. The possibilities are endless! And most of them-like the windchimes or beanbag chair-are fairly inexpensive.

2Play some soothing music or sounds. This may include ambient music, which is usually nature sounds. The mood is light and happy, and you get more relaxed. In fact, if you close your eyes, you can almost imagine yourself at some place far away. Far away, beyond time and space, beyond life and death, beyond country boundaries... For example, on iTunes, there's a great album for this, called "Sounds of the Earth."

3Learn how to lose yourself. No amount of peace-generating effects are going to help you if you can't calm down. Sit on that beanbag chair, close your eyes, and rest. Imagine yourself in the heart of Africa, or in a garden on a Sunday evening, or sleeping in a swamp at night, or even living underwater.

4Get something to express your creativity. Consider keeping a pen and notebook near you, so that you can write a poem or a short story, or just write down your contemplations on life. Expression is the greatest way to realization of your true potential.

Alternate Method

1Prepare to paint your room. You will need blue, green, yellow, orange, and any color of flower.
2Paint a bright blue sky, and a sun on the ceiling.

3Paint long green stems, and do bunches of flowers on them.

4Buy a green carpet and put it on your floor.

5Buy lanterns matching the color of your flowers, and hang them up.

6Have most of your furniture be white. If it is not, have it green, blue, or the color of the flower.

7Have yoga music playing. It will finish the scene off.

8Invite a friend, and show off your new bedroom!
